- Are your wooden toys safe for babies who put everything in their mouths?
Absolutely. We know that “tasting” is a key way babies explore the world. All Kukoo Montessori toys are finished with non-toxic, water-based paints or natural beeswax and oils. They are free from lead, phthalates, and BPA. We also ensure every edge is sanded smooth to prevent splinters.
- What kind of wood do you use?
We primarily use sustainably sourced premium hardwoods. These woods are chosen for their durability, natural beauty, and resistance to cracking. You can find specific material details on each individual product page.
- Why choose wooden toys over plastic?
In the Montessori philosophy, we value natural materials because they offer a richer sensory experience (weight, texture, warmth) and encourage focus without the over-stimulation of flashing lights and loud noises. Plus, they are eco-friendly and built to last for generations.
- Can I personalize the toys with my child’s name?
Yes, select items (like our puzzles and busy boards) offer personalization options. Look for the “Custom Name” box on the product page. Please note that personalized items may require an extra 1-2 days for crafting.

How long will it take to receive my order?
Processing Time: We typically prepare and pack your order within 3-5 business days.
Shipping Time: Once shipped, standard delivery within the US takes 6-10 business days.

- Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we bring Montessori joy to families worldwide! However, international shipping times vary by destination, and customers are responsible for any customs duties or taxes that may apply upon arrival.
- How can I track my package?
As soon as your toys leave our warehouse, we’ll email you a tracking number. You can also visit our Track Order page at any time to see where your package is.
- I need this for a birthday this weekend! Can you rush it?
If you are in a hurry, please email us at [email protected] before placing your order. Let us know the item and your location, and we will check if expedited shipping can get it there in time.

How do I clean wooden toys?
Wood is natural and porous, so it dislikes being soaked!
Do: Wipe gently with a damp cloth and mild soap (if needed). Air dry completely.
Don’t: Do not submerge in water, put in the dishwasher, or use harsh chemicals/bleach.
The wood looks a bit dry after months of play. What should I do?
This is normal! You can rejuvenate the wood by rubbing a small amount of food-grade beeswax or olive oil onto the surface with a soft cloth. It will look good as new.

- What if I don’t love the product?
We want you and your little one to be 100% happy. If you are not satisfied, you can return non-personalized items within 30 days of delivery for a refund. Please visit our Returns Policy page for step-by-step instructions.
- My order arrived damaged. What now?
Oh no! We pack carefully, but shipping accidents happen. Please snap a photo of the damage and email it to [email protected] immediately. We will send a replacement right away at no cost to you.
