How to Play

1. Labels First, Pieces Second: Before lifting anything, read all eight labels aloud — top row left to right, then bottom. Eight words in eight seconds. Done consistently, this thirty-second ritual becomes the fastest sight-word practice in the toy bin — and within weeks, they’re saying the next word before your finger reaches it.
2. Garden Row — Start With What Flies: Pop out the top four together — “Rainbow, Butterfly, Daisy, Bee — everything in the garden.” Make the bee buzz. Make the butterfly float. The sound and movement attached to each piece is what locks the label into long-term memory. The word bee with a buzz is three times more memorable than the word bee alone.
3. Farm Row — The Faces They Know: The bottom four are the animals closest to a toddler’s world — cat, sheep, dog, cow. For each one: say the name, make the sound, find the spot. “Dog — woof — back it goes.” The animal sound bridges the label and the object faster than any other technique at this age.
