Stack Them. Nest Them. Sort Them. Learn It All.
Five blocks. Infinite possibilities.
The Kukoo™ Montessori Stacking & Shape Sorting Blocks is the toy that keeps on teaching. Stack them into a tower—biggest to smallest. Nest them inside each other—smallest tucked into biggest. Sort the colorful shapes through matching holes on top. Every way they play, they learn.
Each block is a mini lesson wrapped in cheerful illustrations. One side shows numbers (1, 2, 3, 4, 5). Another displays counting objects. Another features friendly animals—butterflies, elephants, birds. And on top? A shape-sorting cutout with its matching piece: heart, star, circle, triangle, pentagon.
The magic is in the progression. Block 5 is biggest. Block 1 is smallest. They discover size relationships naturally as they figure out which block fits where. And when playtime ends? Everything nests neatly together—a toy that teaches organization without even trying.
Build the tower! Bring home the ‘Stacking & Shape Sorting Blocks’ and watch learning stack up.
Why Parents (and Little Stackers) Love It:
📦 Three Toys in One: Stacking tower + nesting boxes + shape sorter. Triple the play value in one compact set.
🔢 Number Learning: Each block displays 1-5 with matching counting objects. See the numeral, count the pictures, feel the quantity.
🦋 Picture Discovery: Animals, shapes, and objects decorate every side. Turn the blocks and find something new.
🔷 Shape Sorting: Five geometric shapes post through matching holes. Heart, star, circle, triangle, pentagon—all included.
📐 Size & Sequence: Biggest to smallest, smallest to biggest—they learn size comparison and ordering naturally through play.
How to Play: The Block Adventure
1. Tower Time (Beginner): Stack all five blocks—biggest on bottom, smallest on top. How tall can the tower grow? Count as you build: “One, two, three, four, five!”
2. Nesting Magic (Intermediate): Show them how smallest fits inside the next size, and the next, and the next. “Where did all the blocks go?” Object permanence + size sequencing!
3. Shape Sorting (Core): Match each shape to its block. “The star goes on block 3! The heart goes on block 1!” Combines shape recognition with number learning.
4. Picture Hunt (Learning): “Can you find the butterfly? Can you find the elephant?” Search all sides of all blocks. Vocabulary building through discovery.
5. Counting Check (Math): Point to the number, then count the objects on another side. “This says 4. Can you find 4 flowers?” Number-quantity connection made real.
Specs & Safety
In the Box:
- 5 x Nesting/Stacking Wooden Blocks (graduated sizes, numbered 1-5)
- 5 x Wooden Shape Pieces (heart, star, circle, triangle, pentagon)
Technical Specifications:
- Material: 100% Natural Solid Wood (Birch/Plywood)
- Finish: Non-toxic, water-based paint; child-safe varnish
- Design: Rounded edges; illustrated sides with numbers, animals, and shapes; nesting capability for easy storage
⚠️ Safety Warning:
- Age Recommendation: 12 months+ (supervised); 2+ years (independent)
- Note: The tower will be knocked down approximately 500 times per play session. This is the point. And when they insist on building it upside-down, smallest on bottom? That’s called “experimenting with physics.” Let them discover why it doesn’t work—then celebrate when they figure it out!

The materials feel sturdy and well made, with smooth edges that feel safe and durable. The colors are simple and inviting without being overstimulating, which I really appreciate.
It is the kind of toy that grows with your child and gets used daily. If you are looking for a thoughtful, educational toy that encourages learning through play, this shape puzzle is a great choice. Would absolutely recommend.

Thank you.
It is made out of thin wood but it’s great quality!
It's very durable and can withstand all the tumbles it will get from a 2 year old. Item is exactly as described.
