How to Play: The Deep Sea Captain
Navigate the blue seas and discover hidden treasures:
Captain’s Name: Start the voyage by assembling the crew! Pop out the pastel blue letters (e.g., D-A-R-I-A-N) using the wooden pegs. Help your little captain spell their name to take command of the ship.
Submarine Mission: Look at the top track! Challenge your child to slide the little Blue Submarine from left to right. Whoosh! This sliding motion is excellent for developing horizontal visual tracking (scanning for reading later).
Engine Room: Fix the ship! Spin the three interlocking Gears at the bottom. Watch how turning one gear makes the others move—a simple lesson in cause and effect mechanics.
Navigation Time: Where are we going? Spin the needle on the Compass at the bottom right. “North, South, East, or West?” Pretend to steer the ship towards the Lighthouse puzzle piece.
Whale Watching: Spot the giant Blue Whale at the top left! Fit this large puzzle piece back into its spot to complete the ocean scene.
