Dig Deep. Scoop Big. Build Their Dreams.
The big dig starts here.
The Kukoo™ Wooden Excavator Toy is the heavy machinery hero of every construction site—a beautifully handcrafted digger with a fully articulated arm that actually moves. Raise the boom. Lower the bucket. Scoop imaginary dirt, sand, or treasure. This is the machine that gets the big jobs done.
Carved from contrasting natural woods—pale maple cab and bucket against rich walnut boom arm and wheels—every piece showcases stunning wood grain that makes each excavator unique. The jointed arm bends at multiple points, just like the real thing. Position it high for dramatic effect. Lower it down to dig. The mechanical movement is endlessly satisfying.
No batteries. No motors. No plastic parts that snap. Just solid wood, working joints, and the kind of imaginative play that turns any space into a construction zone. They control every scoop. They run every dig. They’re the operator now.
Start digging! Bring home the ‘Wooden Excavator’ and break ground on their imagination.
Why Parents (and Little Operators) Love It:
🏗️ Working Articulated Arm: The boom actually moves! Multiple joints let them raise, lower, and position the bucket. Real excavator action.
🌳 Two-Tone Natural Wood: Maple and walnut contrast beautifully, showcasing natural grain patterns. Each one is unique.
🪣 Functional Bucket: The scoop is perfectly sized for sand play, small blocks, or imaginary loads. Dig, lift, dump, repeat!
⚙️ Mechanical Learning: Operating the jointed arm teaches cause-and-effect and basic mechanics. They’re the engineer.
🛞 Smooth Rolling Wheels: Solid walnut wheels roll easily across any terrain. Drive to the dig site, then get to work.
How to Play: The Construction Zone
1. Arm Exploration (Beginner): Show them how the boom moves—up, down, in, out. Let them experiment with positioning. Discovery first!
2. Scoop Practice (Skill Building): Place small blocks or pom-poms nearby. “Can you scoop them into the bucket?” Hand-eye coordination challenge.
3. Sandbox Excavation (Outdoor): This excavator was made for sand. Dig trenches, build mountains, fill dump trucks. Real construction crew energy!
4. Treasure Hunt (Imaginative): Bury small toys in a bin of rice or sand. “The excavator needs to dig up the hidden treasure!” Archaeological adventure.
5. Construction Fleet (Creative): Combine with dump trucks and other vehicles. “The excavator digs, the dump truck hauls!” Full job site collaboration.
6. Demolition & Build (Storytelling): Knock down block towers, then rebuild. “We’re clearing the old building to make a new one!” Urban planning begins.

He’s kind of rough with toys and it’s held up well.
Would recommend to others,
The digger is hard to actually dig with - it takes a lot of coordination and 2 hands. We tried digging in some rice and little man just got frustrated. So if you're looking to actually do some digging, this may not be your best bet.
