How to Play: The Backyard Concert
1. Free Jam (Beginner): Let them explore. Tap the drums, crash the cymbal, strike the xylophone. No rules—just sound discovery.

The overall construction quality is excellent if not above the rest. You are getting a lot of well-made and finished wooden musical instruments for a bunch of family fun.
I gave this to my 36 yo son and his kids immediately took it away from him and went to town. Here is a good hint, turn your TV off as once the kids get ahold of this, you will be bombarded with the happy sound of physical actions on something else besides a digital device.

The title and description uses the terms "baby" and "18 months", which I think is an okay place to start, but I think the 2-3-4 year old group will really get a kick out of the set. When I was in grade school (grades 1-3) we used these kinds of instruments (excluding the clarinet) , albeit maybe a bit larger in size. I always wanted to be the triangle player back then!

** if you do buy these for a 1 2 or 3 or old, please watch them with the xylophone drum sticks. My nephew took off with them and had to take it because I didn't want him to fall with the ends in his mouth. Just make sure to supervise.
