How to Play: Shape Shifter

Start with touch and end with recognition:

1. The Sensory Feel (Beginner): Before matching, just hold the shapes. Trace the sharp corners of the Star and the smooth curve of the Circle with their finger.

2. The Match Game (Intermediate): Take all pieces out. Ask “Where is the Triangle’s home?” and let them rotate the piece until it drops in with a satisfying clunk.

3. The Mystery Bag (Advanced): Put the shapes in a bag. Ask your child to reach in and find the “Square” using only their sense of touch (no peeking!).

4. The Artist (Creative): Use the wooden shapes as stencils. Place them on paper and trace around them to draw perfect geometric forms.
